Deep Cogito Inc. (“Deep Cogito”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at https://www.deepcogito.com, the chat experience at https://chat.deepcogito.com, and related products and services, including our research pages and model experiences (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Information you provide. If you contact us, apply for a role, or sign up for updates, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, resume, and the contents of your message.
  • Model and chat inputs. When you use our model experiences or chat features, we process the prompts, files, and messages you submit (“Inputs”) in order to generate responses. We do not use Inputs to train our models, and we do not associate Inputs with your identity beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
  • Usage and device data. We collect basic telemetry such as page views, interactions with our website and model experiences, approximate location (derived from IP address), browser type, device type, and timestamps. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Cookies. We use a small number of cookies for essential functionality and basic analytics.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Generate responses when you use our model and chat features;
  • Monitor usage, detect abuse, and improve the Service;
  • Respond to your inquiries, process applications, and communicate with you about Deep Cogito and the Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your model or chat Inputs to train our models.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Infrastructure providers. We use third-party cloud hosting and model inference providers to host our website, serve our models, and operate the Service. Your Inputs are transmitted to these providers solely for the purpose of generating responses and maintaining the Service.
  • Service providers. We may use vendors for analytics, error monitoring, and email delivery. These vendors are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Deep Cogito or others.
  • Business transfers. If Deep Cogito is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Model and chat Inputs are not retained beyond what is needed to generate a response and to monitor for abuse and operational issues. Telemetry, recruiting information, and contact information are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information;
  • Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the rights described above and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

EU/UK residents: We process your personal information based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, on your consent (where applicable), and to comply with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.
